Some detail of the Star and  Garter Hotel.  That building is now the Steamboat pub.

Photograph from a similar viewpoint, taken in April 2010.  The present church was built in 1892. The pinnacles visible on the postcard were apparently removed in 1937, after one fell of during a gale.
